QUI SOMMES-NOUS

La Business Unit globale SUEZ Smart & Environnemental Solutions (SES) a pour vocation d’accélérer le développement et le déploiement des solutions smart et environnementales à l’échelle mondiale. Afin de répondre à un marché en croissance et qui devient hautement concurrentiel, la BU SES se structure autour de deux approches complémentaires :
1- par ligne de solutions pour assurer une capacité de développement et mise sur le marché rapide. Ces lignes de solutions sont au nombre de 5 : solutions digitales et décentralisées, qualité environnementale & smart agriculture, gestion de la performance d’actifs, air & climat, consulting & smart city ;
2- par géographie, en lien avec les autres entités du Groupe (i.e. les 6 Régions du groupe et la BU globale WTS), afin de garantir une qualité de service optimale et des offres « centrées-client ».


VOTRE MISSION

SUEZ Consulting is part of SES Business Unit and is the engineering and consulting branch of the SUEZ Group. Suez Consulting’s mission is to support cities and industrial facilities in making their ecological and energy transition and in adapting to the effects of climate change. Our talents are therefore operating in the environment sector (water, waste, biodiversity, etc.), urban planning, energy and mobility sectors. SUEZ Consulting is also involved in the strategic missions of the Group Suez to support its development in new business lines and or new activities related to its mission.

In this position, you will join the International Department (ID) of Suez Consulting. The ID has a turnover of €50M, achieved on projects in Eastern Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Most of the projects are carried out in conjunction with international donors (AFD, WB, ADB, EU, EIB, etc.), for which our teams are involved in the engineering of essential services: water, waste, roads, railways, etc., mainly in developing and emerging countries.

Based in Nanterre or Brussels, within our Bid Unit, under the responsibility of the Head of Bid Unit and the Commercial Director, we are looking for a

Bid Manager (M/F/X)

The Bid Manager will be responsible for the following tasks, depending on the organisation of the department:

Commercial missions

  • Production tasks
  • Carrying out a commercial watch on future projects
  • Drafting pre-qualification files
  • Under the supervision of the Sales Director, take charge of the preparation of offers and prepare the administrative parts
  • Prepare the technical file(s).
  • Initiate partnerships

Production tasks

  • Checking the conformity of the offer with the client’s requirements,
  • Identify and analyse the risks of each file and plan mitigation measures.
  • Coordinate the preparation of technical and financial offers,
  • Prepare tender budgets under the supervision of the Commercial Director,
  • Carry out the internal formalities for the opening of the project,
  • Actively participate in key meetings, lead consortia where SAFEGE is the leader,
  • Take charge of quality files.

If necessary, the Bid Manager will be able to rely on a Junior Bid Manager whom he will supervise.

Reporting

  • Keeping commercial reports up to date,
  • Have all documents checked, controlled and approved before sending the file to the client,
  • Transmit the necessary elements for the preparation of the offer to the Finance and Legal Departments in due time,
  • Reporting to his/her hierarchy throughout the project.
  • Cross-functional missions of general interest
  • Participate in business clubs,
  • Providing training or supervising practical training,
  • Take charge of trainees / juniors,
  • Integrating newcomers.

VOTRE PROFIL

Technical abilities:

  • Fluent in English, French and a third language would be considered an asset.
  • You have a higher education degree, ideally from an engineering/business school or university with a specialisation in water, waste, environment, climate change, etc.).
  • You have a first professional experience (3-4 years minimum) in the preparation of bids for the main international donors (EU, EIB, AFD, WB etc), preferably in the environment sector. You are fully familiar with IFIs procedures and methodology for project preparation (project cycle, log frame, etc.)
  • You are familiar with the specific expectations of institutional interlocutors (project owners, donors, etc.).Field experience in the implementation of development projects will be considered a plus.
