The Regional Indirect Sourcing Specialist will report into Suez WTS’ EMEA Regional Indirect Sourcing Leader and will develop & execute strategic sourcing strategies.The “Transport and Logistics” Indirect Sourcing category will be the key category to drive within this backfill job posting.However, it is also possible that support will be requested to drive projects for other Indirect Sourcing Categories (Purchased Services, IT & Telecom, MRO, Facility Management, Utilities, etc.).

Key Functions/Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Global/Regional Procurement teams and all stakeholders for aligning the priorities and the program outcomes with the objectives of the enterprise.


  • Drive strategic sourcing plans that optimize the value of products and services for EMEA region:
  • Develop and execute demand management and cost reduction projects in conjunction with the relevant stakeholders,
  • Create sourcing strategies, perform benchmarking and collect market analysis,
  • Lead the search for alternate/secondary suppliers of materials/services for cost savings/avoidance in all assigned categories,
  • Drive all RFQ activity and negotiations within assigned categories, regions and countries, to maximize value and cost savings benefits while lowering risk,
  • Implement the new contracts and ensure the impact of the projects in EBIT/P&L and Cash Flow.
  • Adapt usage of digital tools and data analytics in the region in accordance with Procurement’s global digital strategy.
  • Lead Supplier Relationship Management programs to develop, continuously improve, manage the performance of, and monitor KPI’s of the supply base.
  • Drive contract/invoicing compliance.
  • Investigate, resolve and record problems such as invoice discrepancies, damages and quality issues.
  • Develop and lead efforts to reduce the number of vendors/transactions for assigned categories.
  • Ensure business alignment and drive Compliance to ‘Procure to Pay’ processes, Quality Management System in the function, Sourcing/Integrity/Ethics policies and CSR initiatives in dealing with the suppliers in the region.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Core Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or similar field, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in Procurement, Category/Supplier Management, Cross Functional Projects along with solid background in data analytics and negotiation.
  • Knowledge of SAP/Ariba is a plus.
  • Fluent English essential. French, German or Italian are a plus.

  • Good understanding of Procurement methods, technologies and processes for conducting and implementing efficient/effective indirect sourcing projects
  • Must have a strong customer service orientation with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, capable of developing presentations and comfortable interacting with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence with various stakeholders to drive common goals.
  • Be effective in supplier negotiations to maximize opportunities and support the productivity plan.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects/tasks effectively and to work cross-functionally.
  • Demonstrated success working in different cultures and environments in a matrixed organization.
  • Accountable, organized, proactive and self-motivated for success.
  • Positive, collaborative approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to work autonomously on indirect procurement projects, leading and executing independently.
