Robert Half is looking for a Data Engineer/Project Coordinator (M/F/X) for his client located in the Walloon Brabant.

Our client is an industrial company located in Ottignies.

Your mission is to play a key role in terms of development and deployment of a data integration chain between different information system applications or assets. You will be focused on the infrastructure and architecture used in data generation and storage, building bridges between different IT actors and data analysts or data scientists.

Your Main Responsibilities Are
  • In charge of the full data workflow by ensuring that deployed architecture supports business requirements
  • Developing, constructing, testing and maintaining data architecture (data base, large scale processing system)
  • Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality
  • Coordinating the preparation of data for specific use cases defined by the business

For This Recruitment, Your Qualifications Are
  • You have a Master or Engineering Degree in Information Technology
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Some experience in project management
  • Fluent in English (essential), knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a plus
  • Experienced programming language (Python, Java, C/C#) with hands-on Gitlab and Docker
  • Accurate experience with cloud computing technology (mainly AWS - lambda , glue ,s3)
  • Technical experience with data models with strong data warehouse background (SQL, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Oracle)
  • Knowledge about ETL tools or data preparation solutions is a real plus (for example Tableau prep, Talend)
  • Good understanding and practical use of streaming platform ( Kafka , firehose)
  • Tableau basic experience is welcome
  • Multitasker, curious with a bias for action, perseverant and autonomous
  • Strong logical mind with advanced analytical skills
  • Efficient communicator in multicultural environments with (non) technical colleagues
