Among "Finance Business Partners" department, we are looking for a finance specialist to reinforce our finance team for Consumer business unit (CBU).

Context

With an annual turnover of more than 2.4 billion euros, the Consumer Business Unit (CBU) is a Telco leader in the Belgian residential sector. CBU offers a range of products, including internet, fixed voice, mobile, and TV, available both as standalone services and in bundled packages.

Job Description

As a member of CBU Finance Business Partners team, you will support the Consolidation team and play a pivotal role in strategic planning coordination and Fiber Monetization analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting, with excellent analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments. The candidate will support the Finance manager as a financial business partner throughout the financial cycle, including the analysis of monthly and quarterly results, the Rolling Forecast, the annual target and Long-Term plan. This role reports to the Finance Manager of the (FBC) consolidation team.

Responsibilities

• You collaborate with the Finance Manager to oversee the budget process, including the 3-year forward financial plan, annual budget, and monthly budget reviews of revenues, direct margin, OPEX, and operational drivers.

On one hand strong communication and project management skills required to reassure all deadlines are met:

• You act as the "chef d’orchestre" to ensure a smooth planning and forecasting process, communicating Strategic Plan/Forecast guidelines and timelines to business spocs and CBU BP colleagues.
• You collaborate with the Group Finance team to obtain and implement effective guidelines and continuously seek opportunities for process improvements.

On the other hand, strong critical analytic skills required:

• As you are the owner of the strategic plan process. You consolidate results and prepare presentations for the CLS and provide input to Group Fin BP team for PLS and DMC.
• You also contribute to the rolling forecast. You regularly analyse the trends of the key input driver, (customer) volume, support the team in product-to-customer volume translation and analyse of customer revenue trends ensuring optimized product revenue on customer/technology level.
• You participate actively in monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting in relation to the Forecast, budget and prior Year (“variance analysis”). You coordinate the monthly projections of risks and opportunities (now called rolling forecast), and support and monitor any action plans.
• Additionally, you are the FIN BP for the Fiber Migration team, analysing and understanding the underlying drivers at the customer and product levels to monitor Fiber monetization. You regularly participate in financial and business discussions, estimating the EBITDA impact resulting from deployment status or CAPEX decisions. You coordinate further enhancements to facilitate an easy access and cross BU alignment on Fiber volumes by footprint.

Overall, you actively participate in financial analyses and provide insights to support decision-making processes. You monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying trends and variances. You challenge received data to maximize company performance and value. You are carrying out sensitivity analyses, using benchmarks, etc. You collaborate with other CBU BP colleagues to ensure accurate and timely financial information, ensuring compliance with all relevant Group Fin BP requirements.

You use your excellent communication skills to promote and ensure compliance with ‘good financial practices’ by translating basic accounting and financial principles to solve business problems. You are the official representative of the financial community within your division, and you ensure that the rules are respected.

Regarding your education and experience, we prefer a university degree, supplemented by at least 5 years of experience in a financial field (audit, controlling, financial analysis). You are also fluent in French, Dutch and English (oral and written).
