The Operational Excellence Manager drives the continuous improvement and operational excellence program in line with the key priorities of the site. Based on that he/she coordinates all the key activities to deliver against the strategic improvement objectives set.

What are we looking for?

Someone that lived through and is skilled in Lean/TPM deployment,

is an excellent people manager (preferably in a manufacturing environment),

has proven skills in project management + problem solving and

is excellent in engaging with stakeholders on all levels

What would be your key responsibilities?
  • Coordinating the improvement program and coaching of site leaders and teams to drive the continuous improvement mindset. Maintaining a balance between short term business delivery and longer term strategic priorities.
  • Driving strong business performance analysis and identifying process inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement in line with the site priorities. Coordinates/facilitates activities using cross-functional resources and Operational Excellence methodology to unlock the opportunities.
  • The jobholder is permanent member of the Site Leadership Team and plays a key role as a thought partner with the Plant Director and has important links with Global Industrial Engineering (IE) as well as the Global and Regional Supply, & Operational Excellence teams, R&D teams & other Site Operational Excellence Managers.
  • Collaborating with operators and team leaders to identify and troubleshoot chronic and sporadic losses through data analysis to facilitate problem solving with regards to either “back to standard” or improving the standard
  • Training and coaching problem solving skills for all associates and actively supporting the teams in problem solving activities (EDPS, BDE, Six Sigma if applicable) coordinating closely with regional/global MSE teams and assuring compliance to MSE standards
  • Owning the local CAB process and FAA tracking as well as CAB project write up and approval process
  • Is a great line-manager, managing, developing and engaging professional associates in industrial engineering area, continuous improvement, focused Improvement and PPI (Product Packaging Implementation) resources
