Java Architect

We currently have a vacancy for a skilled Java Architect, fluent in English who will be based in Brussels. The work will be carried out either on the company’s premises or on-site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be closely collaborating with the responsible officials and managing the project team.

Your tasks:

• Architecture and design of information systems;
• Design and development of architecture components and building blocks;
• Analysis of the integration of different information systems;
• Data analysis and data modelling;
• Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture;
• Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers;
• Production of software architecture documents;
• Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users;
• Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline combined with 13 years of IT professional experience;
• In depth knowledge of web application architecture and design, UML, ability to use variety design tools, Java Design patterns. GOF, and new patterns like Broker, Event Bus, Micro-Services, CQRS, Even Driven, or Event sourcing;

• Understanding of old, and modern development of JAVA and JavaScript frameworks;

• In depth knowledge of Java 6 / Java 7 / Java 8, Spring Core, dependency injection as well as of internals of Spring Boot Auto-configuration system;
• Solid Knowledge of Cloud Native architectures based on Spring Cloud. Config Server, Eureka or Consul, Zuul, Histrix and Sleuth/Zipkin;
• Strong knowledge of f data modelling for SQL, NOSQL databases as well as Elastic Search,;
• Basic knowledge of the most common REDIS uses cases;
• In depth knowledge of REST principles and frameworks like Spring Data REST, Jersey, as well as of SOAP and Spring Web Services, and of Jackson or Gson;
• Strong experience working with Spring Security, OAUTH2, JSON Web tokens (JWT), and identity management products like KeyCloack ;
• In depth knowledge of unit testing with Junit and Spring Test. Hamcrest, Mockito probed experience as well as of integration testing with Spring with MockMVC Test, JsonPath and of AsciiDoc;
• Basic knowledge of ELK stack, metric libraries and front-ends like MicroMeter.io, Prometheus and Grafana;
• In depth knowledge of ECMAScript 2015 2018 and of unit testing with Jasmine or Mocha;
• Excellent command of English, both written and oral; Knowledge of French is a strong asset.
