We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our Manufacturing Excellence team as the ’SAP S/4 Manufacturing domain Lead’. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead and oversee the seamless migration of our SAP ECC manufacturing, warehouse, and maintenance domains to SAP S/4 HANA.
About the role
As the head of SAP S/4 Manufacturing domain, you will lead a dedicated project team comprising both business and IT professionals. Your primary mission will be to orchestrate the transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4 for our internal manufacturing facilities located in Belgium, China, Japan, and Switzerland.
The Manufacturing domain Lead will bear responsibility for the successful implementation of SAP S/4 HANA across manufacturing, maintenance, and warehouse functions. This achievement will be accomplished in close collaboration with our internal team and the chosen system integrator.
Who will you work with
In this role, you will collaborate closely with SAP S/4 corporate program leaders and other workstream leads, including Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement, and Finance. Your goal is to ensure a smooth transition to SAP S/4 HANA by effectively coordinating and overseeing all essential project activities.
Once the migration to SAP S/4 is completed, you will transition into the position of ’Head of Digital Operations.’ In this capacity, you will lead a team of Business Solution Experts, focusing on the ongoing sustainability and continuous improvement of the digital solutions supporting our manufacturing operations.

What will you do
- Be accountable for the success of SAP S/4 transition in Global Manufacturing organization by demonstrating user adoption of the solution and guarantee all business process covered by the domain can be executed successfully and efficiently after Go Live.
- Provide strategic guidance on SAP S/4 HANA best practices and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Successfully lead the manufacturing core and extended teams of the project through the following phases and activities:
- Process design:
- Identify Fits/Gaps
- Sign off on To-Be Solution
- Impact assessment of To-Be solution (including integration with other digital solutions)
- Process flows and user requirements documentation
- Data migration
- Testing activities (incl. integration with other solutions)
- Training activities
- User access management
- Cutover activities
- Hypercare activities
- Process design:
- Manage and mentor a team of SAP specialists, ensuring their continued development and success.
- Successfully lead the project in coordination with corporate project leads and with other workstream leaders by mastering the following key activities:
- Planning of project activities
- Conduct regular status updates and project reports for executive stakeholders
- Report major risks and issues, develop and track mitigation plans
- Manage stakeholders, communication, and change
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills
- Master’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Life Sciences, Information Technology).
- Experience with SAP, preferably S/4 Hana
- Experience in Project Management and Change Management
- Experience in a Biopharma manufacturing site
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Business process management
- Lean management
- System minded: understand quickly how systems functionalities can support business requirements
- Business Intelligence tools (eg : Power BI, QlikSense, Tableau, …)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in French and English
- Certification: PMI project management or equivalent
- Certification: APICS, LSS Green Belt, is a plus
