About The Job

Based in Braine L’Alleud, Belgium you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will be leading the Workspace Services Group of the NATO Digital Workplace Centre. NATO Digital Workplace Centre (NDWC) is providing across the NATO Enterprise operational consultation and collaboration services that comprise the current Digital Workplace, across all content classifications and security domains, for desktop computing, mail, instant messaging, video teleconference (VTC), content services platforms, telephony, printing and mobility services. The 145+ strong NDWC is led from its headquarter location in the Agency campus in The Hague (Netherlands). The majority of the technical staff and technical capabilities are located in Agency facilities in Mons and Braine L’Alleud (Belgium) and Oeiras (Portugal).

Within the NDW Centre, the Workspace Services Group is responsible for the lifecycle and in-service support of End-User devices (i.e. Desktops/Laptops/Tablets), Printers, Scanners, Plotters and Mobile Telephony services across the NATO Enterprise. In close coordination with distributed support teams, workspace team’s main focus is to provide 24/7 timely response to Incidents and service requests coupled with a continuous effort to provide end-users with a state-of-art digital work experience (in-office and mobile).

You will report directly to the Chief of the NATO Digital Workplace Centre. You will be responsible to lead the Workspace Services Group and to ensure delivery and integrity of Workspace Services, regardless of where the technology components, processes or professional capabilities reside.

By leading a team of around 30 motivated and professional IT service delivery specialists and in close collaboration with the Service Delivery Managers in your group, you will be responsible for the continual service improvement, budget planning and execution, workload/work capacity management, and the establishing of yearly Service/Operational Level Agreements for the services in your area of responsibility.

About You

We’re looking for a talented and knowledgeable Group Head (Workspace Services) with ideally a Master of Science (MSc) Degree and 8 years of post-related experience. A different qualification coupled with particularly relevant experience may also be considered.

You Should Have
  • Experience in the management of individuals and teams
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a project team leader in major CIS projects
  • Good knowledge of project management
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with good briefing skills
  • Sound practical experience in design, implementation, support, testing and maintenance of Workplace services
  • ITIL v3/v4 Foundation Certification
  • Experience with the outsourcing of services
  • Sound practical knowledge and experience of service delivery and service provisioning policies, methodologies, processes and tools
  • Knowledge and experience in state-of-the-art technologies relevant to the work, including international, commercial/industrial standards for information processing and transfer of information
Knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential.
