Job Overview and Responsibilities

Overall goal of the team you will be part of:

The Transformation Office is reporting to the Chief Transformation & Operations Officer of Solvay (member of the ExCom).
The team ensures realization of the Solvay One transformation by maintaining an integrated view of all the transformation projects and proactively addressing risks, by highlighting progress and issues to leadership, and by challenging prioritization of resources & efforts to ensure that the highest priority initiatives and projects are receiving the right support.
The team is also supporting ExCom in the monitoring of Group Business and Operations.

By supporting the Transformation Office team, you will have the following tasks:
  • Analyze (on an ongoing basis) and further improve topline transparency (order patterns, opportunity pool development…)
  • Develop /improve key dashboards (quick wins, risks…)
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to generate insights supporting Excom decision-making on Business / Operations / Solvay One transformation
  • Support the set-up of a group-wide transformation initiatives tracking tool (configuration, training, administration…)

Education and Experience

  • You are currently studying for a Master degree, ideally in Science / Engineering, Finance or Business related fields
  • Experience with financial reporting and appetite for digital tools are a plus
  • A first professional experience (internship) is desirable
  • You have a good command of English, any other language is a nice to have

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills; ability to challenge & synthesize key insights
  • Proficiency using Google Sheets and Google Slides (or Microsoft Office)
  • Strong team player
  • Agile mindset; able to work on many topics in parallel, with fast-changing priorities
  • Strongly curious and questioning nature, with a “trust but verify” approach
  • But most importantly, a good sense of humor
