Risk Engineer (Brussels) (m/v)

The evolution towards more complex and risky projects has lead BESIX to increase its capabilities in Risk Management and to systematically perform risk assessments on its projects in tender phase as well as in project execution stage.

The risk assessments cover all aspects of the project, the technical ones as well as the non-technical ones and is aligned on the ISO 31000 Risk Management Guidelines.

The risk engineer will be part of the Risk Management Competence Center of BESIX that provides support and added value to the projects.

Your role as a risk engineer will be twofold:

• At tender stage, you will have to initiate and follow-up the analysis based on BESIX group knowledge and experience as well as by collecting the input within the project team from the different departments involved (tendering, engineering, planning & methods, legal, finance, insurances,¿)

The aim is to have a complete analysis of the threats and opportunities before completing our offer. The outcome of the analysis is essential in the price setting and negotiation of our projects.

• At execution stage, you will assist the project teams to periodically review and update the analysis. This consists in making sure that the adequate treatment measures are effectively implemented, and that newly identified risks are timely included in the analysis.

The outcome of the risk assessment as well as the evolution of the project risk exposure are included in the monthly reporting of the project.
