Test & Development engineer

Job content

You will join the "Build & Test" team where customer and product specific production processes and machines are built and tested. Depending on the phase of the project, in addition to analytical work, you are regularly in the lab and in machine engineering to carry out tests regarding the various processes such as bonding and siliconization. The use of cobots for supporting these tests is not unexceptional.

You’ll report into our Engineering Study Lead.

• As Advanced Test & Development Engineer you evaluate requests for engineering studies created by different teams and provide feedback on it.
• You design the requested tests and develop processes, methodologies and measurement methods.
• You execute the test according to the developed and agreed method and perform detailed data & statistical analysis on the test results. Based on this conclusion, additional iterations are made.
• You review and complete SIPOC, FMEA and other risk assessments in order to have a full picture of the capability of the process.
• You report results and recommendations, including performance of the product or process. You give input for validation protocols & control plans and/or the need for additional iterations.
• You prepare overall capability reports.

• Master in engineering or equivalent with technical background
• Background in process engineering
• Expert in data analysis & statistical tools (SPC, DOE, Cp/Cpk, hypothesis testing …)
• Strong analytical knowledge & problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Excel, Minitab, or related software packages
• Strong communication & presentation skills
• Fluent in English (oral and written) and a good knowledge of Dutch
• Quick learner, can understand easily the background for a request
• Team player
• Based in Belgium
